Job description
** This is a direct hire position for one of our clients. This is a hybrid role located in Austin, TX. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our client's team at our Austin, TX location. As the lead data expert on-site, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this position, you will collaborate with executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver impactful insights through advanced data analysis and dashboard creation. If you are a self-starter with a strong technical background in tools like Looker, Sigma, Snowflake, PowerBI, SQL, and Python, and you excel at translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies, we want to hear from you. Experience in finance or private equity is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data initiatives at the Austin, TX office, acting as the primary data point of contact.
- Build and maintain dashboards using Looker, Sigma, and other data visualization tools to provide actionable insights.
- Develop complex SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to communicate data insights and influence strategic decisions.
- Work independently to manage and prioritize data projects, driving initiatives that align with company goals.
- Leverage Snowflake to manage and integrate data from various sources for deeper analysis.
- Support the finance and business teams by providing data-driven insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with data tools such as Looker, Sigma, Snowflake, PowerBI, SQL, and Python.
- Dashboard Creation: Must have experience in creating dashboards, visualizing data, and telling compelling stories using tools (specifically Cigna for dashboard creation).
- Data Storytelling: Ability to extract insights from data and present findings in a clear and actionable way to stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with C-Suite executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
- Leadership and Independence: Must be able to work independently and take initiative, as the data team is spread out throughout multiple locations.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
- It is preferred to have experience in finance or private equity, with an understanding of how data analytics supports financial performance.
