Emergent Software is seeking its first Marketing Director to lead the strategic growth of our business. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that positions our firm as a leading provider of technology solutions. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who excels at crafting compelling messaging, identifying and engaging target audiences, and executing multi-channel marketing initiatives, while also rolling up their sleeves to drive day-to-day execution.

Primary Duties

Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, including value proposition, market research, target audiences, channels, and budget.

  • Conduct market research to analyze key competitors, assess Emergent’s position, and refine our value proposition accordingly.

  • Create detailed buyer personas and map customer journey touchpoints to inform automated sales and marketing campaigns, from paid media to email drip campaigns.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the quality of lead generation.

Content Strategy and Corporate Messaging

  • Lead the development of a unified content strategy that highlights our technical expertise and unique value proposition.

  • Craft clear, compelling corporate messaging tailored to enterprise and mid-market technology decision-makers.

  • Oversee and, when needed, participate in the creation of thought leadership content, including white papers, case studies, blog posts, short-format videos, LinkedIn content, newsletters, webinars, and technical briefs.

  • Ensure all marketing communications maintain a consistent brand voice and adhere to our messaging architecture.

Digital Marketing and Channel Management

  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across channels such as:

    • Digital advertising (LinkedIn, Google Ads, IT/industry-specific platforms)

    • Email marketing

    • Social media (LinkedIn and YouTube)

    • Industry webinars and virtual events

  • Manage and optimize the SEO strategy for our corporate website.

  • Keep the corporate website updated, relevant, and aligned with brand messaging.

  • Build and manage relationships with industry publications, analysts, and media contacts.

  • Oversee the selection and performance of marketing partners and vendors.

Marketing Technology and Analytics

  • Leverage marketing automation platforms to streamline campaign execution and lead nurturing.

  • Implement robust tracking and analytics to monitor campaign performance.

  • Provide regular reporting on key marketing metrics, ROI, and business impact.

  • Continuously optimize campaigns and strategies based on data-driven insights.

Sales Enablement and Collaboration

  • Partner with sales leadership to align marketing strategies with business development goals.

  • Develop sales enablement tools such as pitch decks, prospect collateral, and competitive intelligence materials.

  • Support the sales team in lead generation and qualification efforts.

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

  • 5–7 years of experience in B2B technology or professional services marketing

  • Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies

  • In-depth knowledge of IT, cloud computing, and enterprise technology ecosystems

  • Strong digital marketing and content creation skills

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in the Microsoft Partner ecosystem is a significant plus

 Desired Skills

  • Critical thinking, executional excellence, strong communication, accountability, and natural curiosity

  • Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, and SEO/digital advertising platforms

 Benefits Package Details 

  • Medical Insurance: up to 80% of your monthly medical premium (HSA options available)
