** This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client and is a hybrid role located in Minneapolis, MN. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.**


We are in search of a proficient and seasoned DevOps Engineer to integrate into our dynamic team. As a vital member, you will spearhead the creation and execution of automation strategies aimed at refining our software development processes. This pivotal role mandates a robust background encompassing software development, system administration, and cloud infrastructure management to propel efficiency and reliability within our continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology Operations, you will play a key role in driving our technical operations forward.


Responsibilities:

- Devise, implement, and sustain automation tools and frameworks to optimize continuous integration and deployment processes.

- Foster collaboration between development and operations teams to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.

- Deploy monitoring and logging solutions to augment system visibility and proactively address issues.

- Oversee cloud infrastructure utilizing primarily AWS tools.

- Uphold security best practices across all infrastructure and deployment procedures.

- Participate in on-call rotations to provide prompt support for production issues.

- Provide mentorship to junior team members and impart expertise in DevOps methodologies.

Technical Proficiencies:

- Proficient usage of GitHub at a developer level, including PRs, branch management, release management/tagging, and automation through APIs.

- Familiarity with GitOps/DevOps workflows.

- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Terraform HCL, Golang, PowerShell, or Bash.

- Experience with at least one CI/CD tool such as CircleCI, Jenkins, Codeship, or Azure DevOps.

- Agile team experience.

- Competence in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications:

- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or a related field, with a firm grasp of software development principles.

- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Strong familiarity with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or AWS Systems Manager.

- Practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

- Thorough understanding of cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
