In this role, you will design and implement customer integrations using a low-code platform, acting as the technical bridge between clients and internal teams to deliver smooth, scalable solutions.

Job description

This position is a direct-hire role with our client. Open to remote or hybrid candidates near Milwaukee, WI. Remote employees must travel to Milwaukee once per month. U.S. work authorization required; no sponsorship available.

The Solutions Engineer designs and implements customer integrations using a low-code integration platform. Acting as the technical bridge between customers, onboarding teams, and internal engineering, this role makes sure integrations are smooth, scalable, and aligned with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical onboarding and integration projects for SMB and enterprise clients, making sure solutions follow company standards and avoid direct vendor-to-vendor integrations.

  • Configure and manage integrations using drag-and-drop tools, including data transformations, webhook handling, and workflow mapping.

  • Collaborate with non-technical customer contacts and internal teams to understand workflows and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Make sure all integrations begin and end within the company’s internal platform, maintaining data integrity and process consistency.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues, manage error handling, and maintain reliable, repeatable processes (e.g., idempotency, safe reruns).

  • Participate in occasional onsite client workshops or whiteboarding sessions, especially for enterprise engagements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with low-code or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Logic Apps, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, data formats (XML, EDI, JSON), and HTTP-based communication.

  • Technical background in engineering or development; while not hands-on coding, this role requires comfort with technical concepts and discussions.

  • Ability to confidently communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, often serving as the most technical person in the room.

  • Platform-agnostic mindset; experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments.

  • Experience working in SaaS environments and supporting a range of client sizes is preferred.

  • Ability to travel to the company’s Madison, WI location once per month for on-site collaboration.

 Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with API design principles and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT).

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent documentation and presentation abilities.
